We are seeking a hands-on, motivated Store Manager to oversee operations at our retail discount store. This role is perfect for someone with retail experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys managing inventory, and is comfortable working weekends. You’ll lead the store team, manage customer interactions, work directly with Square POS, and ensure the store stays fully stocked and customer-ready.
Key ResponsibilitiesStore Operations
- Open and close the store on assigned days (Friday through Monday)
- Manage daily operations including cash handling and shift scheduling
- Operate and troubleshoot the Square Register point-of-sale system
- Monitor inventory levels and restock merchandise as needed
Team Management
- Lead and supervise team members to ensure excellent customer service
- Train new staff on POS usage, safety procedures, and store policies
- Assign tasks related to stocking, cleaning, and organization
Inventory & Merchandising
- Receive, unpack, and move pallets/boxes of merchandise (may involve lifting up to 50 lbs)
- Organize and display items strategically to promote sales of new discounted inventory
- Maintain a clean, safe, and visually appealing sales floor
Customer Service
- Address customer inquiries and resolve issues in a friendly, professional manner
- Foster a positive shopping environment that reflects the brand’s value-driven mission
Qualifications
- Previous retail or store management experience, ideally in a discount or value-based setting
- Familiarity with Square Register or similar POS systems
- Ability to work Friday–Monday, including early mornings and evenings
- Physically able to lift/move stock and handle basic manual labor tasks
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
