Warbird Healthcare has partnered with a critical access hospital in South Georgia to identify and recruit a full-time Controller to join their team. You will play a crucial role in directing and supervising the accounting and financial reporting function reporting to the Chief Financial Officer. You will oversee all facets of financial management, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and fiscal health. Collaborating closely with the executive team, you will contribute to their growth, profitability, and regulatory compliance.
Position Type : Full-Time & Onsite
Compensation : Competitive and commensurate with experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and maintain financial systems, policies, and procedures to ensure precise and timely financial reporting and analysis.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and accounting standards.
Create and implement financial policies and procedures to guarantee the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
Oversee cash flow and banking relationships.
Coordinate with external auditors for timely completion of audits and regulatory filings.
Provide financial leadership and support to achieve business objectives.
Analyze financial data, identifying trends and providing insights into financial profitability, revenue growth, and cost efficiency.
Manage budgeting and forecasting to support strategic planning and decision-making.
Offer financial analysis and support to the executive team, including preparing financial models and forecasts.
Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and making recommendations to management.
Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
BS degree in accounting, economics, or finance.
MS degree in accounting, economics, or finance preferred.
CPA preferred.
Minimum of five (5) years of financial leadership experience in a hospital setting.
