Interim Finance Director, Managed Care

Warbird Consulting Partners actively seeks experienced candidates for an Interim Director of Finance role for a client in the Southwest. Our ideal candidate will have strong managed care experience and be responsible for directing and overseeing the financial affairs of this client.

The Director of Finance sets the client’s financial and operational goals and objectives as well as manages its relationship with affiliated entities. The interim director will lead the organization’s financial planning and accounting practices, maintain financial management reporting and control systems, oversee compliance with the policies, procedures and regulations. This role is onsite in Oklahoma.

Responsibilities Include

• Direct and oversee all policies and procedures for the financial operations of managed care contracts.
• Manage contracts, negotiates and set rates, and review reimbursement levels and managed care agreements to ensure that proper payment practices are utilized.
• Manage revenue/expense reporting and control systems, report generation, forecasting models, and reconciliation procedures.
• Monitor, report and explain variances to approved budget; address variances and present alternatives for achieving the goals.
• Plan, provide resources and direct activities for provider financial analysis and provides analytics for strategic and operating decisions.
• Lead contract modeling process.
• Manage financial analysis of medical cost.
• Manage capitation calculation and payment.
• Provide ad-hoc analysis for senior management.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
  
  

Education/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field
• MBA or CPA
• Minimum 5 years’ healthcare financial management experience Knowledge
• Strong managed care finance experience required
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel for financial forecasting and modeling
• Knowledge of database reporting tools to assist in preparing analysis
