What are the responsibilities and job description for the Records Clerk position at Ward and Smith, P.A.?
Ward and Smith, P.A. is a growing full-service law firm with multiple offices throughout North Carolina. We are seeking a Records Clerk to join our Greenville or Raleigh office.
Applicants should be multi-task oriented, have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and be able to function well in a fast-paced environment. The responsibilities include: Opening files both physical and electronic, downloading, naming and uploading incoming documents from court systems to the appropriate NetDocs folder and distributing via email to the recipients in accordance with the Firm Wide Electronic Standards, filing correspondence and legal documents in the proper electronic files, filing original documents in the proper file, delivering files, locating and tracking files, providing information from files, processing all mail for uploading and distribution, closing files and preparing files for storage in document management system and in permanent off-site storage and/or preparing files for destruction as needed at end of retention period.
A high school diploma is required. Records experience in a professional services environment is highly desirable.
