Ward & Ward Mental Health Services, Inc. provides excellent care and treatment and ensures the well-being of our supported persons – aging adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities – who are enjoying life within our communities. We are currently seeking an experienced health care administrative professional to lead our nursing office.
The Nursing Office Coordinator is responsible for supporting the operations of the Nursing Department to ensure the highest level of customer service and maximum operational efficiency. This position reports directly to the Director of Nursing and supports the Nursing staff (RNs and LPNs) with scheduling appointments for our persons, following up on consultation documents and orders, managing medication and supplies inventory, and providing other administrative support.
Qualifications include the following:
- Minimum of a 2-year college degree preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years of medical office experience.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Experience working with the intellectual and developmental disability (IDD) population highly preferred.
- Able to maintain a high level of professionalism in conduct and communication.
- Able to communicate verbally and in writing in a clear and concise manner in the English language.
- Must have intermediate to advanced level computer skills using MS Office and able to quickly learn and utilize other computer applications.
- Able to function at a high level of efficiency with minimal supervision/oversight.
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination required.
The selected candidate must be available to work the hours that are listed (8am-4:30pm, Monday through Friday) and pass a criminal background check.
