Come grow with us! We're hiring for an experienced Warehouse and Fleet Assistant to help in our fast paced plumbing and heating business.
The warehouse and fleet assistant is responsible for helping with the efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of a wide range of goods including, but not limited to materials, tools, machinery, auto fleet, PPE and clothing, while implementing measures to increase the company's effectiveness and efficiency.

As a warehouse team member s / he is required to work effectively with people, processes, and systems. They ensure workplace health and safety requirements are met and assist with responsibility for the security of the building, facility grounds and stock.
Working Hours : 7AM to 4PM or 8AM to 5PM Monday through Friday per business needs. Saturday's possible when scheduled in advance.
Reports to : Warehouse & Logistics Manager
Executive Manager : Administrative Manager
Responsibilities
Assist with day-to-day operations and functions of the warehouse including checking out materials, stocking, inventory of warehouse or vans and receipt of shipments.Replenish items to field vehicles that have been used on jobs from warehouse stockFleet
Schedule preventative maintenance and repairs for fleet vehiclesTags / License Plate renewalsAnnual State Vehicle Safety inspectionsCleanliness inspections and internal safety checklistsWarehouse Operations
Receiving and stock materials and equipmentOrganizing materialsPull replenishment orders for techs for items used on jobs daily, on an ongoing basisCleaning and basic upkeep of the warehouse area and groundsQualifications / Skills Required
The ability to pass a thorough driving and criminal history background checkExperience in warehouse, inventory and purchasing operations of two years preferred - or a strong desire to learn quickly.Self-motivated and the ability to work productively without constant immediate supervisionUnderstanding of the HVAC, Plumbing and home service industries or strong desire to learn quicklyAbility to mobilize equipment and tools up to 80 pounds often. Proper use of hand trucks, pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment to move inventoryStrong interpersonal skills to work in a diverse, dynamic, and fast-paced environmentSelf-motivated and flexible to accommodate changes in business strategiesBasic computer skills including MS Office productsFull attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriateUse logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problemsThis position is subject to pre-employment criminal and motor vehicle background checks.
