JOB TITLE: Leadership Trainee - Claims
REPORTS TO: Director of Process Improvement, under the supervision of the Director of Claims
OVERVIEW OF ROLE: To learn all aspects of claims management to include: managing claims process from logging in through final resolution and payment offers or declination and claims prevention.
MANAGEMENT TRAINEE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for learning and being able to properly measure, manage, and conduct professional verbal and written communications with of all cargo claims.
- Responsible for learning and being able perform the roles of all members of the Claims Department by delegating work, providing performance feedback and monitoring results.
- Responsible for learning and being able to properly work in service center OS&D.
- Responsible for learning and being able to properly manage the system salvage.
REQUIREMENTS:
Operational Manager Trainee understands that relocation per company needs may be required upon completion of training for continued employment.
- Must be able to read and write, complete company and governmental forms, and understand written company policies and governmental regulations.
- Must have strong problem solving, math and analytical skills, be organized and able to work with PC.
- Must be able to work the required hours.
- Must have ability to work effectively with and direct others.
- Must have basic understanding of customer service and desire to support Ward’s quest to always service the customer first.
- Must possess strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to foster open, honest two-way communication both internally and externally.
- Must be able to negotiate and work with sensitive information.
- Must participate in random drug testing of all non-DOT employees.
