Ware Butler's Peak Metals is currently hiring Metal Shop Production Operators at its State-of-the-Art Metal Shop located in Stillwater, Maine. Metal Shop Production Operators provide prompt, courteous service to customers in the yard and the shop by assisting in the selection and loading of materials. The Production Operator also fabricates orders on metal machines, build, stage, and sometimes deliver materials at the direction of the Metal's Manager. This position will require cooperation with all supervisory staff, other delivery drivers, and store personnel. Hourly pay based on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Follow all company policies and safety standards.
- Complete orders by fabricating according to specs using metal bending and cutting machines.
- Assist pick-up customers in the yard in a prompt, professional manner.
- High level of customer service.
- Pick quality merchandise for delivery customers and build delivery loads.
- Perform vehicle safety inspections.
- Load and/or inspect loads to ensure the load is secure, and no unsafe vehicle or load leaves the yard.
- Check load for picking accuracy and correct errors as needed prior to delivery.
- Unload product on job site to customer expectation by following written or verbal instructions and communicate with customer in a professional and service focused manner.
- Contribute efforts to maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
- Report damage to equipment, inventory, or property to immediate supervisor the day it occurs.
- Perform tasks deemed necessary by supervisory staff.
