Ware Public Schools seeks a Extended School Year (ESY) Coordinator to oversee the ESY program for special education students. The coordinator will manage program planning, staff supervision, student services, and compliance with IEPs and special education regulations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop and implement the ESY schedule and staffing plan.
• Recruit, train, and supervise ESY staff along with the Director of Student Services.
• Ensure students receive IEP-mandated services, including academic support and related services.
• Serve as the primary liaison for families and school administrators.
• Monitor program effectiveness, maintain records, Progress Reports and submit a final program report.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Master’s in Special Education or Educational Leadership preferred.
• MA DESE certification in Special Education required; administrator certification preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of special education teaching or program coordination experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
