What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavioral Health Counselor position at Ware State Prison?
Job Summary: Under supervision, schedules consumers for testing, assembles test materials and administer tests. Develops and implements behavior management and/or skills acquisition plans.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities: * Assists with administration and scoring of tests * Develop and implement behavior management plans as required by regulatory agencies * Evaluate clients' physical or mental condition based on review of client information * Maintain confidentiality of records relating to client's treatment * Monitor, evaluate, and record client progress according to measurable goals described in treatment and care plan * Prepare and maintain all required treatment records and reports * Provides training to direct staff in implementing behavior modification techniques * Trains to collect information about clients through interviews, observation, and tests
Entry Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university OR certification as an addiction counselor from the Georgia Addiction Counselors Association (GACA) or equivalent certification.
