What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recycle worker/ forklift position at Warehouse and Logistics?
The purpose of the Waste/Recycling Associate position is to maintain the cleanliness of the warehouse and surrounding facilities such exterior docks, & breakrooms in accordance to local health and safety standards.
- Performs general cleaning and sanitation related job tasks in warehouse facility.
- Operation of pallet jack, forklift, and standup reach truck to transport refuse/trash to appropriate receptacles.
- General cleaning duties include but are not limited to sweeping, dusting, mopping, trash pickup, sorting and load pallets and use of cardboard baler and trash compactor.
- Follows all safety rules and completes all duties as assigned per business need.
- Completes all work according to company health and safety policies and guidelines.
- Reports any and all unsafe conditions or unsafe acts immediately to ensure safety of all associates.
- Completes all assignments timely and accurately.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use their hands; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and listen. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, and the ability to adjust focus.
The attendance demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are 5 days per week, 40 hours per week. Occasional overtime may be required
