Overnight Warehouse Supervisor

We are a family owned national logistics company seeking an Overnight Warehouse Supervisor in providing warehouse support for a local distribution center. This individual must be highly motivated and able to motivate team members to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This is a hands-on supervisor position where supervisors are expected to learn every aspect of the operation and work with the team when necessary. Stand up pallet jack experience and forklift experience required.

Requirements

All applicants must be at least 18 years of age

Must have reliable transportation

Must pass a background check

Individuals must be able to pick up 50lbs repetitively

Skills & Responsibilities

Ability to direct workforce in offloading trailers and downstacking product

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other team members

Unload trucks on a timely basis using various equipment such as end rider tuggers and forklifts

Handle product throughout the warehouse

Strong communication and conflict resolution skills dealing with people and working situations

Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

Excellent customer service skills

Willingness to meet and exceed customer expectations

Must maintain a good attitude towards the customer and the team at all times.

Overview of Position

This position would be expected to learn operations from the ground up in each unique warehouse area. During initial hands on training you will get to know the employees in each area, learn the process and flow of operations, and start to develop a relationship with the customer who works with our team in tandem. At completion of hands on training, a more supervisory approach will be taken where you will monitor each area throughout the shift. Responsibilities will include addressing any safety concerns, monitoring production in each area and assisting when production gets behind, identifying areas of improvement, assist in training of new employees or other leadership roles, addressing employee concerns, scheduling, billing, payroll, addressing customer concerns, etc.

This position requires active leadership and the ability to develop good working relations with both customers and employees.

Schedule (OVERNIGHT)

10:00pm - 6:00am (or end of responsibilities)
