What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Warehouse Associate - 1st Shift position at Warehouse Specialists, LLC?
Our General Warehouse Associate position will provide safe and efficient labor support throughout the facility to meet customer needs. This full-time position will receive guidance from the Facility Lead. This position also may occasionally require weekends, holidays, and overtime. DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Unload, sort, and segregate inbound floor-loaded containers into storage bins.
- Count inbound bins accurately and process receipts via a handheld RF device.
- Put away products via receiving push carts following RF instructions
- Utilize RF device to pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND, ABILITIES:
- Basic math, reading, and writing skills to ensure accurate counts and paperwork.
- Ability to operate technology equipment including Radio Frequency (RF) Scanners to manage inventory.
- Previous knowledge or a desire to learn about the product being handled.
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Ability to follow instructions and follow through on assigned tasks and responsibilities.
- Ability to communicate professionally, both verbally and written.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- 1 year of experience working in a warehouse environment.
- Experience with the computerized inventory system.
- Experience with standup lifts.
PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time through hot and cold temperatures.
- Ability to repetitively stand, kneel, stoop, and squat, as needed.
- Must be willing and able to safely lift up to 40 pounds.
- Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and uniforms that are provided by the company.
