What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lift Truck Operator - Columbus, OH - First Shift position at Warehouse Specialists, LLC?
We are hiring for a First Shift Lift Truck Operator (8:00 AM-4:30 PM) to provide quality material handling to support operations and achieve growth. This position will be reporting to the Facility Manager and will occasionally require weekends, holidays, and overtime. DUTIES and ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Operate a lift truck to pick orders, load and unload trucks and railcars
- Perform inventory control activities to ensure accurate product records
- Serve our customers through providing accurate correspondence on inbound and outbound orders
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience operating lift truck attachments.
- Experience loading and unloading trucks and railcars using lift truck equipment
- Reliable transportation to report to scheduled shift and travel between facilities as needed
- Demonstrated accuracy in counting and completing paperwork
- Previous knowledge or a desire to learn about the product being handled
- Positive, clear, and professional communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 1 year of previous lift truck experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in warehouse environment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be willing and able to lift up to 60 pounds
- Must be willing and able to slide, push, or pull cases up to 60 pounds
- Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and uniforms that are provided by the company.
