We are hiring a Warehouse Manager to lead operations of a 249K sq ft warehouse with both e-commerce and industrial customers. This full-time salaried position will report to the Director of Operations and is responsible for achieving safety, quality, productivity, and profitability objectives while assuring our customers receive reliable and cost-effective service.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Oversee overall facility performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with retail fulfillment requirements (packing lists, compliance labels, routing guides).
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial performance, ensuring leadership accountability.
- Ensure all operations adhere to industry regulations and safety standards.
- Design and implement processes to enhance productivity while maintaining employee well-being.
- Coach, develop, document, and monitor employee performance, fostering professional growth.
- Respond promptly to all correspondence and phone inquiries.
- Maintain and enforce codes, safety requirements, and security measures within the facility.
- Oversee building maintenance, and inspections, and address any concerns or requests.
- Attend workshops and training sessions to stay current with professional and technical knowledge.
- Cultivate a LEAN culture through continuous process improvements and effective measurements.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and equitable work environment.
- Manage facility equipment needs and utilization based on current and projected business trends.
- Execute cycle counting plans and ensure inventory accuracy for audits.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
- Extensive experience in facility management within a 3PL or similar environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
- Strong proficiency in reading, writing, and basic math.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- An Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics and warehousing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Manhattan and Oracle experience desired.
PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to use hands and fingers for computer keyboarding, and answer phone calls.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. if needed.
- Ability to communicate via the telephone using speaking and hearing skills.
