Job Description:
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, analysis, and optimization of hydronic radiant heating and cooling systems. This includes working closely with clients, project managers, and installation teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop hydronic radiant systems for residential, commercial, and industrial applications.
- Perform heat load calculations, system sizing, and selection of components (pumps, boilers, manifolds, etc.).
- Create detailed system layouts, schematics, and engineering drawings.
- Collaborate with sales and project management teams to ensure system designs meet client needs and project specifications.
- Evaluate the performance of existing systems and propose solutions for optimization or retrofitting.
- Conduct system commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure system efficiency and reliability.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in hydronic radiant systems and HVAC engineering.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience designing or working with hydronic radiant systems.
- Proficiency in HVAC design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, HAP, Trane, or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer principles.
- Experience with system integration and project coordination.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of building codes, energy efficiency standards, and regulatory compliance related to HVAC systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with radiant heating systems, energy-efficient designs, and green building practices.
- Knowledge of LEED certification and other sustainability standards.
