Quality Assurance RN -Healthcare - Warm Hearth Village, Blacksburg, VA
Position Overview :
The QualityAssurance / Risk Manager at Warm Hearth Village is responsible for overseeing andensuring adherence to regulatory standards, internal policies, and ethicalpractices. This role involves developing, implementing, and managing complianceprograms to safeguard the organization against risks and maintain the higheststandards of resident care and operational integrity.
Key Responsibilities :
- Compliance Program Development : Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive compliance programs that align with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as industry best practices to align with clinical in a senior living community
- Regulatory Oversight : Stay informed about relevant laws and regulations (e.g., HIPAA, OSHA, Medicare / Medicaid guidelines) and ensure the organization remains compliant
- Risk Assessment : Conduct regular compliance risk assessments and audits to identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend corrective actions
- Policy Development : Create and update organizational policies and procedures to reflect changes in regulations and operational needs
- Training and Education : Develop and deliver training programs for staff to promote understanding of compliance obligations and ethical standards
- Monitoring and Reporting : Implement monitoring systems to track compliance activities and prepare reports for senior management and regulatory bodies
- Investigations and Enforcement : Lead internal investigations of compliance violations and take appropriate corrective actions, including reporting to regulatory agencies when necessary
- Collaboration : Work closely with various departments (e.g., legal, human resources, clinical operations) to promote a culture of compliance and ethical conduct throughout the organization
- Advisory Role : Serve as a resource for management and staff regarding compliance issues, providing guidance and support as needed
- Supervision : Oversee education and clinical compliance team
