Your New Role...
CNN International seeks a Writer to join their team in Atlanta, GA.
Your Role Accountabilities...
- Craft various types of news stories, including voiceovers, package tosses, opens and teases.
- Collaborate with on-site and remote producers to shape compelling narratives.
- Produce high-volume, high-quality copy in a fast-paced newsroom.
- Must have a Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field of study is preferred, or equivalent work experience.
- At least one year of experience as a full-time writer or successful completion of writer training in a CNN newsroom.
- Excellent writing skills and an ability to produce quality work quickly.
- Must have a thorough understanding and proven experience in handling international stories.
- Outstanding news judgment, critical and strategic thinking are critical for the position.
- Successful candidates will demonstrate a knowledge of and active participation in social media as a news tool.
- Must have the flexibility to work different shifts including evenings, overnights and weekends.
