Your New Role...
CNN is looking for an experienced journalist with strong news gathering abilities and leadership skills. The AM weekend news editor should be a collaborative, team player who can guide reporters quickly and confidently across a wide range of topics. This editor must have the ability to own all dimensions of the storytelling process from driving assignments and vetting reporting to editing copy for digital, video and linear television.
Your Role Accountabilities...
- Top-to-bottom editorial management of breaking news stories - including directing reporting and element gathering, clearing information and communicating across editorial platforms
- Monitor the competitive landscape on daily stories
- Identify opportunities for distinctive reporting opportunities
- Ability to pivot quickly from one assignment to another and juggle multiple assignments
- Responsible for ensuring that editorial lands in a coordinated way on all platforms
- Communicate regularly with beat experts to activate key expert resources across the network

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and / or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range : $71,400.00 - $132,600.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
