Description:

As a Logistics Management Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating logistics and supply chain operations to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including transportation, warehousing, procurement, and customer service, to streamline processes and achieve organizational objectives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Logistics Coordination:
  • Coordinate and manage transportation, shipping, and distribution activities to meet customer requirements and timelines.
  • Collaborate with transportation providers and carriers to negotiate contracts, rates, and service levels.
  • Monitor and track shipments, ensuring timely delivery and resolving any logistics-related issues.
  • Supply Chain Optimization:
  • Analyze supply chain processes and identify opportunities for optimization and cost-efficiency.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve inventory management, reduce lead times, and enhance overall supply chain performance.
  • Work with suppliers to improve delivery schedules and optimize inventory levels.
  • Inventory Management:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records, ensuring inventory levels meet demand while minimizing excess or obsolete inventory.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to forecast inventory needs and plan for adequate stock levels to support operations.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Generate and maintain accurate logistics documentation, including shipping manifests, customs forms, and other relevant records.
  • Prepare regular reports and analysis on logistics performance, including key metrics such as on-time delivery, transportation costs, and inventory turnover.
  • Compliance and Regulations:
  • Stay informed about relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to logistics and transportation.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including customs, trade, and safety requirements.
  • Process Improvement:
  • Identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks in logistics processes and propose and implement improvements to enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to standardize and optimize logistics procedures.
Requirements:


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Five (5) to Seven (7) years proven experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related role.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in using logistics software and other relevant technology.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
