What are the responsibilities and job description for the Legal Assistant - Landlord/Tenant position at Warren Allen LLP?
We are looking for candidates who possess the following skills:
* Experience in the legal field. Civil litigation and landlord/tenant experience a plus
* Knowledge of Oregon legal procedures. Knowledge of Washington legal procedures a plus
* Experience with Oregon State Court E-File System.
* Proficient computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong organizational skills
* Strong writing skills
* Ability to cope with stress and deadlines
* Attention to detail and ability to multi-task
* Ability to maintain confidentiality
* Take charge personality and positive attitude
* Ability to learn new areas of law
Job Duties
The legal assistant’s job duties will include but are not limited to:
* Drafting, filing and maintaining pleadings and communications
* Calendaring hearings, trials and deadlines
* Organizing case files
* Communicating with clients
* Assisting with incoming and outgoing discovery
* Organizing exhibits, documents and evidence
