We are a well-established Portland law firm in need of a reliable and proactive Data Entry Clerk and Billing Assistant for our legal team. Tasks may entail entering time and data into our current accounting software. Our firm specializes in civil litigation, landlords’ rights, real estate disputes, personal injury, estate planning/probate, and many other areas of law. We are AV-rated, enjoy a premier (non-downtown) location, and growing!
We are looking for a candidate who possesses the following skills:
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organizational skills
- Attention to detail and ability to multi-task
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Willingness to be flexible and help with various tasks
- High school degree or equivalent
- Experience with data entry, record keeping, computer operation and customer service skills a plus
Job Duties
The Data Entry Clerk and Billing Assistant’s job duties will include but are not limited to:
- Entering data specific to location coding in the current accounting software
- Ability to cross reference client locations with tax jurisdiction
- Updating records
- Storing paperwork in designated physical and electronic locations
- Maintaining an efficient filing system
- Safeguarding data and information
