Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to join our team at Warren Center in Queensbury, NY.
Duties:
- Assist the Director of Nursing Services with management responsibilities and maintain the quality of care.
- Conduct weekly Wound/Skin Rounds to ensure resident well-being.
- Ensure effective communication and compliance with all levels of nursing staff.
- Meet the medical needs of all residents and coordinate care planning.
- Be available for 24-hour on-call duty.
- Direct and coordinate total planning for nursing services.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of general nursing theory and practice.
- Accurately and timely complete medical records.
- Assist with interviewing, hiring, and orienting new nursing staff.
- Oversee daily staffing process and infection control measures.
- Maintain flexibility with work schedule to address unpredictable needs.
Requirements:
- Current State RN license is required.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in Long-Term Care settings is necessary.
- Two years of management experience and one year of staff education experience are preferred.
- Excellent Communication Skills are essential.
- Evidence of basic leadership skills and supervision is required.
- Flexible hours are necessary.

We offer short-term rehabilitation services to individuals who cannot immediately return home due to illness or injury.
