- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- Knowledge of and ability to demonstrate basic business-related skills.
- Computer literate with ability to successfully work with all District operating systems, including but not limited to various Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, Publisher and Google-related functions.
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks in order to effectively work within timeline.
- Clerical experience beyond minimum required.
- Ability to perform duties requiring strictest confidentiality.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cooperatively with other personnel.

ADDITIONAL PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor Degree, Associate degree or academic hours completed beyond high school
- Experience gained in any unit of the school system.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED:

Duties:
- Greet visitors while interacting with the public in the school, central office or other settings.
- Assist public with preschool registration process and ensure awareness of school and district policies.
- Share responsibility with other clerical team members in the operation of the preschool program and be directly responsible to the Preschool Coordinator.
- Be responsible for preschool records, waiting list, transportation and class lists.
- Assist in areas of public relations and communications with students, staff, families and community, as it relates to the preschool enrollment, program and District.

Assist in scheduling, as needed, exercising priority, including:
- Preschool registration events;
- Preschool enrollment appointments;
- Transportation;
- Professional development sessions and trainings; and
- Any other appointments as required.
- Keep constantly informed of school and preschool program policies, guidelines and procedures.
- Answer incoming phone lines and assist on the phone as needed.
- Help pupils, staff members and parents with routine problems.
- Receive and deliver messages to staff, electronic and/or hard copy, according to building and district protocol.
- Prepare, receive and distribute inter-office, U.S. and electronic mail as required.

Maintain student information in DASL and permanent record files which include:
- Enrolling student and assigning proper EMIS coding of student;
- Withdrawing student and releasing pertinent information to school;
- Coordinating the distribution of preschool records to PK-8 building secretaries; and
- Account for all pupils enrolled for the previous year in preschool program.

Maintain all files, including:
- Busing information and bus attendance;
- Busing changes for families, teachers and bus garage; and
- Reenrollment information.
- Export attendance data as directed by Preschool Coordinator.

Assist and support Preschool Coordinator with the following:
- Maintaining preschool program licensure and SUTQ.
- Coordinating preschool purchases and maintaining inventory.
- Verify pupil attendance for staff, parents and various agencies, as needed.
- Assist office of State and Federal Programs with preschool transportation invoice process.
- Assist Principals, School Community Liaisons and appropriate personnel in recognizing known students with chronic absenteeism.
- Support and assist the department of Student Services in daily operations, as needed.
- Responsible for relieving Front Desk Security Officer for periodic breaks and scheduled lunch.
- Abide by the rules, regulations, policies and procedures of The Warren City School District Board of Education.
- Perform other relevant duties as may be assigned by Superintendent, Building Principal and/or designated supervisor.
