The Data Services Specialist will support the district’s data management efforts by assisting in the accurate entry, verification and reporting of EMIS (Education Management Information System) data. Working under the supervision of the EMIS Coordinator and Curriculum Director, this role will collaborate with district personnel to ensure compliance with state reporting requirements and provide technical assistance related to student information systems.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The position operates within an office setting and requires regular interaction with school administrators, staff and external agencies. Candidates should be detail-oriented, adaptable and comfortable working with data management systems.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associates degree or higher.
- Experience with ProgressBook Management, ODDEX, SSID Site and Data Collector.
- Knowledge of Special Education protocols and procedures.
- Understanding of Gifted Education Data Reporting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in entering and verifying EMIS information to ensure accuracy and compliance with state requirements.
- Gain proficiency in state software programs related to EMIS data management.
- Communicate effectively with other districts regarding student records.
- Provide support to building personnel in using SIS (Student Information Systems) software and entering EMIS data.
- Assist in preparing district and building reports related to student data and compliance.
- Work with SSID number assignment and verification for students.
- Maintain building information and baseline data for Warren City Schools.
- Utilize the NEOMIN Helpdesk for software and technical support needs.
- Attend NEOMIN/State training sessions to stay updated on EMIS reporting requirements and system updates.
- Abide by the rules, regulations, policies and procedures of The Warren City School District Board of Education.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned by the Superintendent/CEO, Associate Superintendent, the EMIS Coordinator and Curriculum Director or designee.
