Qualifications:
o MA Teacher License
o Bachelor’s Degree in Education
o Knowledge of the Curriculum Frameworks- Grade 1
o Effective instructional techniques and classroom management skills
Responsibilities:
o Effectively teach ELA, Math, Social Studies and Science curriculum for Grade 1
o Ability to plan activities and lessons
o Ability to collaborate on and implement curriculum activities and lessons
o Strong classroom management and positive behavior skills
o Experience with inclusion
o Excellent communication and collaborative skills with students, staff and parents
o Good organization and time management skills
o Ability to portray a positive role model to students
o Responsible for grading students work and assigning term grades
o Collect and interpret student data
o Modify lessons based on student data
o Knowledge of special education strategies and methodology
