Hours:
This role is for a Substitute Teacher. The hours and location of this role will depend on the needs at each of our four Early Learning Centers in Carlisle, Franklin, Lebanon, and South Lebanon. The Centers are open Mon-Fri, 7:30am-4:30pm.

Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Substitute Teacher to join our team and make a lasting impact on children’s lives. As a Substitute Teacher, you will play a vital role in creating an engaging classroom that supports our Head Start programs. Your role will involve not only academic instruction but also fostering social-emotional growth and resilience in children and partnering with families.
Responsibilities:
- Implement lesson plans and prepare educational materials offering a variety of child-initiated and teacher-directed activities, as well as quiet and active learning activities, to assist each child in developing a positive sense of self.
- Work with teaching team to implement Creative Curriculum lesson plans and follow Ohio Learning and Development Standards and Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework.
- Use Conscious Discipline to support social-emotional development, problem-solving, and empathy skills.
- Maintain a safe learning environment and actively supervise children following state licensing regulations and Head Start Performance Standards.
- Obtain First Aid, CPR, Communicable Disease, and Child Abuse Certifications.
- Complete pre-employment screenings (which includes background checks, drug screening, and medical statement). WCCS is tobacco-free (including e-cigarettes) on campuses and maintains a drug-free workplace.
