Park Maintenance Technician Full-Time

Position Overview:

Join our team as a Park Maintenance Technician, where you'll play a key role in maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and overall appearance of our parks. This hands-on position is perfect for someone who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in keeping public spaces in top condition.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance of park grounds, trails, and facilities
• Landscaping tasks including mowing, trimming, seeding, fertilizing, and tree/shrub care
• Minor repairs to park structures and amenities (e.g., plumbing, painting, flooring)
• Equipment operation and upkeep (mowers, tractors, skid steers, power tools)
• Trail work including grading, signage, and drainage improvements
• Snow removal and safe chemical applications for weed and pest control
• Support park events and assist with opening/closing duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Required:

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid Ohio driver’s license (must be insurable)
• At least 18 years of age
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
• Comfortable with manual labor and operating tools/equipment

Preferred:

• One year of park or grounds maintenance experience
• CDL or Ohio Commercial Pesticide Applicator License (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions
• Team player with initiative and attention to detail

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
