has a position opening for a
Transportation / Purchasing Manager
This is a full-time position under the Act 93 - Non-Certificated Agreement. This position is responsible for all aspects of student transportation and support of the purchasing process. The successful candidate will be working under the direction of the Director of Business Services.
Requirements are as follows :
- Associate degree required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Knowledge of Pennsylvania School Code in connection with both transportation and purchasing.
- The ability to function as an administrator and independently as a manager.
- Oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to solve problems.
- Willingness to complete professional development and training.
- Comfort managing transportation software to meet the requirements of school, parent and State reporting needs.
- Comfort developing and managing bus contracts.
- Must be proficient in using standard productivity software such as spreadsheets and word processing documents.
- Must be knowledgeable in keeping financial records and developing a budget.
- Must have a valid PA driver's license.
- Applicant should have knowledge of the local area.
- Applicant must be willing to report to work on a flexible schedule as weather permits.
- Applicant should be comfortable providing a positive level of customer service.
- Applicant must be willing to work with employees outside of their department.
- Applicant may be expected to attend meetings of the Board of School Directors.
Testing will be required on software use, Excel and writing skills. Applicants must submit cover letter, resume, transcripts, and 3 letters of recommendation. Salary commensurate with education / experience.
