SCHOLARSHIP COORDINATOR/EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANT
QUALIFICATIONS
48 Hours or more of college credit/Score 456 or better on Paraprofessional Praxis test. Demonstrate aptitude or competence for assigned duties.
REPORTS TO
Principal
JOB GOALS
Responds to scholarship inquiries from students, staff, and donors. Analyzes and resolves issues related to scholarship transactions and potential over awards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Experience working with high school students
- Strong knowledge of postsecondary education requirements, options, application procedures, financial aid, and scholarship opportunities
- Ability to work effectively with school personnel, parents, community leaders, and students
- Ability to serve as a role model for students
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong program management skills, including demonstrated record of completing tasks on time and within budget
- Commitment to working with young people and to the value of postsecondary education.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This job may require lifting of objects that exceed 40 pounds with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighting up to 20 pounds such as dockets, ledgers, and small tools. Other physical demands may be required.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Ten month year (200 Day). Salary and work year to be established by the Board.
EVALUATION
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Personnel.
