We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Prosecutor in Warren County to join our team at the Warren County State's Attorney's Office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in criminal law and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prosecute or handle county ordinance violations, traffic offenses, misdemeanors, juvenile cases, truancy matters, extradition, and civil commitment matters
- Represent the State in all trial court proceedings including traffic court, detention hearings arraignments, preliminary hearings, extraditions, pretrial conferences, and trials
- Prepare search warrants and obtaining arrest warrants as directed
- Review and proof written materials as directed by the State's Attorney
- Provide daily briefings to the State's Attorney
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A valid license to practice law in the State of Illinois
- At least 2 years of experience in criminal law
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
