Summary
We are seeking an Office Specialist to join our team at Warren County Veterans' Services. This role is crucial in managing office operations, providing administrative support, and ensuring effective communication within the organization. The Office Specialist will play a key role in enhancing the overall efficiency of our services.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily office operations, including scheduling and calendar management.
- Provide administrative support by proofreading documents and preparing reports.
- Handle phone inquiries with professionalism and courtesy, ensuring excellent phone etiquette.
- Assist with Warren County’s AP software for basic financial tracking and reporting as needed.
- Maintain organized records and files for easy access and retrieval.
- Support front desk operations by greeting visitors and directing them appropriately.
- Perform clerical tasks such as typing, filing, and data entry to ensure smooth office functioning.
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree or higher in business administration, office management or related field; OR
- Associate’s Degree or higher and one (1) year of paid office administrative or clerical experience which shall have included the use of computer applications or other automated systems; OR
- Graduation from high school or possession or a high school equivalency diploma and three (3) years of paid office administrative or clerical experience which shall have included the use of computer applications or other automated systems
- Proven experience in office management or administrative roles.
- Strong proofreading skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent calendar management abilities to coordinate schedules effectively.
- Strong phone etiquette and communication skills are essential.
- Ability to perform clerical tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
