Your Role:
As a Drafter/Nesting Technician you will:
Dedicate time to learning and becoming proficient in CREO/Pro-E and SigmaNEST software.
Create work folders, cut lists, brake notes, and PDFs for nesting based on sales and work orders.
Develop accurate and efficient nests in SigmaNEST to generate CNC programs for plasma tables.
Prepare and maintain detailed schematics and exploded parts diagrams using CREO Layout.
Utilize Windchill PLM software to manage part files and schematics.
Ensure accurate documentation and communication within the production and engineering teams.
Work closely with the Engineering Manager to complete assigned projects.
Collaborate in a team atmosphere to improve workflow and production efficiency.
Qualifications:
College degree or equivalent industry experience required.
Proficiency in CREO Layout (Pro/ENGINEER) and SigmaNEST nesting software.
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
Ability to learn and use ERP software (currently Great Plains) for job-related tasks.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Skills:
Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Physical Demands:
Ability to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed.
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
Work primarily in an office setting, but must frequently spend time in the shop.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
Full-time position requiring punctuality and readiness to work daily.
Business hours are determined by the manager, with occasional overtime as needed.
