What are the responsibilities and job description for the Environmental Aide - 2nd Shift position at Warren General Hospital?
We're seeking individuals for casual, as-needed, support with our environmental services and sanitation team at Warren General! Hours will vary, with full-time potential in the future.
GENERAL DUTIES:
- High Dusting horizontal and vertical surfaces
- Disinfect surfaces with approved germicidal cleaner
- Must follow directions of cleaning chemicals correctly and use safely
- Removal of all municipal, infectious and chemotherapy waste from work area
- Dry mop and wet mop any tile, vinyl or concrete flooring
- Vacuum and edge clean carpeted areas
- Cleaning patient discharge beds and stands. Make bed with clean linen
- Clean, Maintain and Operate all equipment in a safe manner (floor cleaners, sweepers, shredder)
- Remove and replace cubicle curtains or draperies
- Strip floor finish from tile, vinyl or concrete flooring
- Apply floor finish to tile, vinyl or concrete flooring
- Must be knowledgeable of hospital, departmental and infection control policies
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work flexible hours including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
