What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Educator/Quality Liaison (RN) position at Warren General Hospital?
The Nurse Educator/Quality Liaison (RN) is responsible for overall management of internal-educational opportunities within Warren General Hospital, as well as the coordination of all onsite nursing school clinical activities. This is a full-time, salaried position within the Hospital, reporting to the Executive Director of Nursing Services.
What You'll Do:
- Coordinate with nursing schools and acts as a liaison between WGH and school representatives
- Completes onboarding for all nursing unit new hires
- Provide orientation to nursing classes at the start of each semester
- Support nursing leadership team through participation in nursing supervision for the hospital
- Create and collaborate with new nursing programs as the need arises based on staff and manager requests
- Coordinate and participate in programs as requested by nursing leadership
- Enforce and maintain professional nursing standards, policies and procedures; assure compliance with the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing and all applicable regulatory agencies
- Identifies, recommends and initiates planning strategies for improvement of nursing and patient care
- Perform nursing care when necessary
What You Need To Be Successful:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing with an active Pennsylvania RN license; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Flexibility in work schedule to accommodate varying shifts
- Minimum of 3 years nursing experience in an acute care organization
