Warren General Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The Med-Surg RN will be responsible for providing high-quality, evidence-based patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and a commitment to delivering patient-centered care.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care based on nursing standards and protocols.
- Administer medications, IVs, and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education.
Qualifications:
- Current RN license in Pennsylvania, or ability to obtain before start date.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- BLS/CPR certification required (ACLS preferred).
- 1 years of Med-Surg nursing experience preferred (new grads considered).
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
