Job Summary
As a Security Officer you are responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors and staff at Warren General Hospital.
Main Responsibilities
- Establish a security presence by patrolling hospital, buildings, grounds and associated areas.
- Monitor security, fire and environmental alarm systems; responds to alarms and assists as needed.
- Respond to and resolve problems, disputes and unusual circumstances as necessary.
- Provides customer service to patient, families, visitors and staff to maintain a safe environment.
- Report and document incidents, suspicious activities and hazards immediately; contacts appropriate law enforcement when necessary.
- Assists with helicopter landing, escorting crew and patient transport.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary technical training, vocational program or related certifications preferred.
- Minimum one year of recent security experience; previous healthcare experience preferred.
- Willingness to obtain Basic Life Support (CPR) and Crisis Intervention Training (MANDT)
