What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transportation Coordinator (Part-Time) Warren Manor position at Warren Manor?
Position Summary:
Transportation Coordinator schedules Resident appointments and coordinating transportation via Family, Ambulette Service or Company van to ensure on time arrival & return. Provide assistance to Dementia Unit while in facility.
Position Responsibilities for Transportation:
* Must be able to work flexible hours
* Must be able to read local and state maps and use cell phone in case of emergency
* Required to check and maintain routine maintenance, clean both interior and exterior of vehicle, record mileage and use of the vehicle daily
* Follows all safety policies and procedures during daily tasks
* Attend required in-service education
* Follows appropriate Infection Control and Universal Precaution practices when performing department and cleaning procedures
* Communicate effectively with residents, family members, guardians, physicians and Nursing staff
* Provide detailed, weekly Resident appt. schedules to Nursing and other Depts.
* Perform STNA duties while residents are in your care outside the facility
* Coordinate with Activities, Nursing and other departments to provide enrichment, relief and support to Dementia Residents and staff.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to read, write and have good visual acuity. Must have a valid driver’s license and excellent driving record with copy on file at Corporate office. Driving record must have no restrictions. Must have current STNA certification.
