What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safety Coordinator position at Warren Recruits?
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Conduct and coordinate new driver orientation classes
- Assist in recruiting qualified Owner Operators and Company Drivers
- Accept applications and interview driver applicants (pre-qualify)
- Send out (fax) VOPE’s for new driver applicants
- Communicate with Application Auditor to get driver applicants qualified
- Communicate and report applicant and new hire information
- Conduct and/or coordinate CMV road tests for new drivers
- Monitor drivers’ hours of service compliance:
Educate drivers on proper use of ELD equipment
Assign UVA and education drivers how to use tablets to avoid UVA
Address HOS violations same day
Watch for tampering/ disconnecting ELD equipment
Work the Distance Discrepancy report weekly
- Responsible for keeping inventory of ELD equipment and ordering new equipment as needed
- Assist with all aspects of safety compliance including
Monthly Maintenance reports
Expiring documents
Random, reasonable suspicion, and post-accident drug testing
- Employee first report of injury contact for the division
- Responsible for ongoing and corrective action driver instruction
- Receive and process (notify drivers) random drug/alcohol test notices
- Assist with Driver Safety Awards Presentations
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to conduct CMV driver safety and operations instruction and training
- Good knowledge of FMCSR
- Good understanding of FMCSR part 395 – Hours of Service of Drivers
- Ability and desire to promote to potential CMV drivers
- Knowledge and understanding of truck maintenance and repair.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
