We are looking for a professional and energetic Maítre d’ to supervise the front of the house staff.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise the wait staff and oversee service
- Welcome guests and assign tables
- Manage reservations and ensure a smooth and welcoming atmosphere
- Manages the flow of guests during peak times and address and issues promptly
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen and other restaurant personnel to ensure smooth operations
- Supervise wine selection and assist chefs with creating menus
- Maintain and update reservation system, manage wait list and coordinate with the kitchen and serving staff
- Handle special event requests and large group reservations.
- Respond to guest requests and questions politely and efficiently
Requirements:
- 3-4 years Fine Dining experience
- Exceptional Customer Service skills
- Leadership skills – ability to lead and motivate a team, delegate tasks and ensure smooth operations
- Problem-Solving - ability to handle guest issues and resolve problems effectively
- Attention to detail
- Knowledge of Wine and Food Pairings – Familiarity with wine lists, spirits and menu offerings is a significant asset.
- Knowledge of Reservation Systems -Proficiency in using reservation management systems and POS software is crucial.
