Warren Middle School seeks a passionate and dedicated 6th-grade teacher to educate and support students in grades 6-8. The ideal candidate will collaborate with colleagues in a Professional Learning Community (PLC) to enhance student learning outcomes, implement inclusive teaching practices, and integrate the Science of Reading to strengthen literacy development across all subjects. Responsibilities:
Develop and implement engaging, standards-based lesson plans that meet diverse student needs.
Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture that values all learners.
Differentiate instruction to support students with various learning styles, including those with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and 504 Plans.
Utilize the Science of Reading principles to support students’ literacy development, including phonemic awareness, decoding, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension.
Collaborate with colleagues in a Professional Learning Community (PLC) to analyze student data, develop instructional strategies, and promote best teaching practices.
Utilize various teaching strategies, including technology, hands-on activities, and cooperative learning.
Assess and evaluate student progress through formative and summative assessments.
Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and school staff regarding student progress and behavior.
Establish and enforce classroom expectations to create a respectful and structured learning environment.
Participate in school events, faculty meetings, and professional development opportunities.
Support students' social-emotional development through positive relationships and support.
