Job Overview
Responsible for helping to provide an efficient and meaningful education program for District students and staff; perform office work involving a high degree of independent judgment and initiative; establish and maintain effective relationships with parents, students, and staff.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The employee regularly types using a keyboard.

Job Overview

Qualifications
- Working knowledge of office functions and procedures
- Working knowledge of English, spelling and composition
- Ability to use office technology effectively and efficiently, including but not limited to, Microsoft Suite and Google Drive
- Ability to maintain accurate and complete file records
- Ability to use initiative and independent judgment
- Ability to read and interpret district policies and procedures
- Ability to plan and organize work and projects
- Ability to understand and effectively carry out oral and written instructions
- Ability to effectively communicate (oral and written)
- Ability to establish and maintain effective public, pupil, and co-worker relationships
- Ability to communicate in Spanish (preferred)
- Answer phones, greet visitors, and respond to inquiries
- Receive and respond to inquiries based on knowledge of district policies and procedures
- Takes and types correspondence, memoranda, requisitions, reports, forms and various materials
- Maintain accurate departmental records on manual and computerized systems
- Maintain a variety of files and records
- May be required to perform work on the latest office machines, including, but not limited to: scanners, postage machine and related equipment
- Handles purchasing for the department
- Handle and sort mail, as well as sending out bulk packages/mailings for the district
- Serve as the office resource on program operational procedures and activities to district personnel, the public and outside resources and agencies.
- Compile data and reports from a variety of sources and coordinate processing of related program records and files and monitors and reviews for completeness and compliance with Federal, State, and local laws and regulatory requirements.
- Process details not requiring attention of the administrator; schedules meetings, conferences and appointments.
- Prepare agendas and take minutes at meetings.
- Review departmental contracts for compliance with district requirements and Federal, State, and local laws.
- Assist the administrator in budget preparation and administration.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the administration
