Summary/objective:
This is a 13 hour/week position.
Summary:
Kids’ Club programming is an opportunity for Warren Village at Ivy Crossing children to feel safe, have fun, and engage in enriching activities in a structured, supportive group setting. This position will help with supervision of children and with implementation of activities. The Youth Program Aide collaborates closely with staff, volunteers, parents, and children to fulfill the mission of Warren Village. This position assists staff in providing enriching activities for children ages 5-14 during Kids’ Club programming.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Supervise and interact with a group of children in a safe and caring environment.
- Assist with implementing appropriate enrichment activities for youth participants ages 5-14.
- Establish supportive, trusting, and positive relationships with children.
- Maintain a structured, clean, and organized environment for children.
- Other program related duties may include assisting with record keeping, creating, and distributing flyers, outreaching children, and parents, organizing supplies, and assisting with community events.
Other duties as assigned.

Technology systems aptitude. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Experience working with children and basic understanding of child development.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age.
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Proven history of managing a large group of children in a school, afterschool, camp, or other similar setting and designing enriching activities for children.

Work Environment:
Frequent indoor activities in an office environment to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. combined with consistent exposure to outdoor conditions, weather permitting.
Physical Demands:
Frequently required to stand while working with child[ren], walk and sit; using hand and finger dexterity; talk or hear. Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl. Frequently operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer as well as craft activities. Constantly positions self to maintain equipment, including under desks. Frequently communicates clearly and concisely with children. residents, staff, and volunteers. Must be able to observe children’s activities, indoors and outdoors, utilizing established safety protocols. Occasionally lifts to 40 Lbs.
