We are seeking a Plant Operations and Engineering Manager to join our team. As the Plant Operations and Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day plant operations, ensuring safe and cost-effective production while meeting quality standards and deadlines.
Korman Signs is a leading manufacturer with state-of-the-art facilities equipped with advanced machinery including Lincoln welding robots, a CNC Euromac turret press, Hydro mech saws, CNC AXYZ routers, wide format digital printers, and more. We are committed to producing high-quality products efficiently and maintaining a professional, organized atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Leadership: Manage day-to-day plant operations, including planning, coordinating, and controlling manufacturing processes.
- Quality Control: Set and direct quality standards, ensuring all products meet required specifications.
- Workflow Management: Monitor productivity, performance, and product standards; anticipate and resolve bottlenecks.
- Employee Relations: Manage employee performance, conduct disciplinary actions when necessary, and foster a collaborative work environment. Hold staff meetings to ensure excellent interdepartmental communication.
- Inventory and Equipment: Oversee inventory control, equipment maintenance, and plant security.
- Safety: Enforce and coordinate health and safety precautions with the Safety Director.
- Continuous Improvement: Provide input on product and process design to enhance efficiency and quality.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates must have a strong work ethic, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to operational excellence. The following qualifications are important:
- Bachelor's degree is highly desirable, preferably in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in plant operations or manufacturing management.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, team building and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities. Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrates a strong mechanical aptitude and intuition.
- Technical knowledge of advanced machinery and equipment, including CNC machines, welding robots, and digital printers.
- Familiarity with maintenance management systems and manufacturing software.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and quality control processes.
- Ability to walk, stand, and move within a manufacturing environment for extended periods.
- Possesses visual acuity for detailed inspection and quality assurance tasks.
- Capability to lift up to 50-70 lbs. as needed.
This position requires on-site presence with visibility in both internal operations and external partnerships.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $120,000−$150,000 commensurate with experience
