Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Service Advisor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and ensuring their automotive needs are met. As a Service Advisor, you will leverage your expertise in service management to enhance customer satisfaction and drive sales through effective communication and upselling techniques.
Duties
- Greet customers promptly and professionally, assessing their automotive service needs.
- Provide detailed explanations of services, repairs, and maintenance options available.
- Utilize strong customer service skills to build rapport with clients and address any concerns or inquiries.
- Facilitate the scheduling of appointments for vehicle maintenance and repairs.
- Collaborate with technicians to ensure accurate diagnosis and timely completion of services.
- Track the status of the special order parts to insure a timely turnaround of the equipment.
- Promote additional services from a Technician Review for repair or service and make customer aware of possible issues with the equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and service history in the dealership management system.
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
Experience
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Proven experience in customer service within an automotive environment or dealership setting.
- Strong sales skills with a focus on upselling automotive services.
- Familiarity with various auto repair services including brake repair, tire service, alignment, and suspension work.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Previous experience as a mechanic or in service management is highly desirable.
