License Office Manager

Job Summary
This position is responsible for assisting the office manager in overseeing the daily operations of the City’s License Office, ensuring efficient and compliant processing of various licenses, permits, and related documents. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, organizational, customer service and multi-tasking skills. Preference is given to candidates who have 3 or more years experience in a license office as a supervisor. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the License Office functions
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations governing license processing and distribution
- Oversee the issuance of driver’s licenses, vehicle registrations, business licenses, titling and other required permits, etc.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring timely submission to appropriate state departments
- Handle financial transactions, including collection and reconciliation of fees, inventory control, accounting and recordkeeping.
- Address and resolve customer concerns, inquiry and complaints professionally
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent; a degree in business administration or a related field is preferred
- Prior experience in office management, licensing or a related field preferred
- Proficiency in computer systems and office software
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and customer service abilities
- Ability to handle financial transactions accurately and securely
- Must pass pre-employment background check and fingerprinting.
- Valid Driver’s License, Proof of Registration and Insurance of your motor vehicle is required
- Proof of current and last 4 years paid Personal Property Tax Receipts
The position requires extreme attention to detail to keep accurate inventory records, prepare large deposits and motivate staff.. This individual needs to be able to multi-task to ensure the smooth operation of the office. The Assistant Office Manager supports the Office manager to ensure they are trained properly and are able to complete assigned tasks.
The schedule is 8:15 am- 4:45/5 pm with a lunch break Monday thru Friday. One half day Saturday a month is required.

Pay: $37,000.00 - $41,000.00 per year
