Summary: We are seeking a Commercial Lines Team Lead to guide and develop our Commercial Accounts team. This leadership role is focused on training, mentoring, and hands-on teaching to help the team grow and succeed. As a team lead, you will provide ongoing support, ensure continuous development, and promote a collaborative work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Provide regular training and mentorship to the Commercial Accounts team, focusing on skill-building, industry practices, and coverage management. Offer one-on-one coaching to Junior Account Managers to accelerate their professional development.
- Collaboration & Cross-Department Teaching: Promote collaboration across departments. Teach team members how to work effectively with other agents and teams, fostering an environment of mutual support and knowledge-sharing.
- Team Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing: Actively collaborate with team members, answer questions. Encourage open communication and continuous learning within the team.
- Sales & Performance Monitoring: Monitor, review, and report on key metrics to ensure sales targets are met. Teach the team how to effectively track and document sales activity with professionalism and accuracy.
- Training & Development: Organize and lead training sessions on new products, coverages, market trends, and industry updates. Ensure the team is well-versed in the latest developments, equipping them to navigate industry changes and leverage new products.
- Coaching Junior Account Managers: Offer personalized mentoring to Junior Account Managers, providing them with the tools and knowledge to succeed in their roles. Foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
- Hiring & Team Growth: Partner with the hiring team to recruit and develop top talent. Help onboard new team members and teach them the skills needed to thrive in the commercial lines space.
- Carrier Coordination & Best Practices: Guide the team on how to follow up with eligible carriers for new and renewal business. Teach Commercial Lines Best Practices, ensuring proper documentation of new and renewal bindings, evidence of coverage, and changes to coverage.
- Client Service & Problem-Solving: Process client requests promptly and professionally. Instruct the team on handling complex client issues, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction. Assists with annual reviews and servicing of commercial accounts.
- Licensing & Compliance: Maintain State of Colorado licensing and designation requirements, and educate the team on compliance and the importance of maintaining credentials in the insurance industry.

Qualifications:
Required: Licensure - Colorado Property & Casualty Insurance License
Required: Minimum 5 year Commercial Lines Service Experience
Required: High School graduate or general education degree (GED)
Preferred: College experience
Preferred: Brokerage experience
Preferred: Experience with Microsoft office products, EZLynx software

Pay: $60,000.00 - $67,000.00 per year
