Position Title: Senior Buyer
Reports to: VP Operations
Employment Status: Exempt
The Senior Buyer will coordinate purchasing activities, develop stable supply sources, and leverage material pricing opportunities. Communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills are key components to the success in this role
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate all buying, quoting, and inventory activity.
• Analyze, negotiate and issue purchasing documents including RFQ’s, LTA, NDA to ensure compliance to Company, ISO, and AS9100 guidelines.
• Lead efforts to meet material and outsource deflation targets.
• Develop and implement a vendor scorecard to measure and improve supplier performance, quality, lead time, on-time delivery, and compliance.
• Develop and maintain a directory of approved supplier/vendor partners to support the sales, quoting and operations teams.
• Maintain Epicor data integrity to ensure accurate decision making within the organization.
- Analyze pricing trends for key commodities, recommend buying strategies, protect company exposure to market fluctuations. Manage materials inventory
- Perform additional activities to support business needs as requested by management.

- Possess a general understanding and interpretation of CAD drawings.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing scheduling, material procurement, material planning, and inventory management.

• Ability to define problems; collect and interpret data; coordinate facts and draw valid conclusions.

Education and Experience:
- A combination of two to four years of directly related education, training and/or experience is desired for this position. 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing supply chain preferred.
Computer Skills:
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have strong computer skills; specifically: MRP software, (Epicor MRP experience a plus) MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
