Job Title: Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) – Part-Time Day Shift
Location: Warsaw Meadows, Warsaw, IN
Pay Range: $22 - $24 per hour
Shift: Part-Time, Day Shift (includes floor and med cart responsibilities)
About the Role:
Warsaw Meadows is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) to join our team on the night shift at our skilled nursing facility in Warsaw, IN. This role requires working both on the floor and managing the med cart, ensuring each resident receives attentive and thorough care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer prescribed medications to residents, verifying resident identity and accurately documenting each medication’s details, dosage, and time.
- Manage and operate the medication cart with precision and accountability.
- Present medications to residents and observe ingestion or application, administering as directed.
- Monitor residents’ responses to medications, including taking vital signs, and promptly report any adverse reactions to designated personnel.
- Document any reasons prescribed medications are not administered.
- Assist residents with daily care needs, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and providing support during examinations and treatments.
- Maintain accurate medication inventories, including receiving, mixing, assembling, and restocking supplies as needed.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a state-approved Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) program, with successful completion of Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) designation requirements.
