What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transportation Assistant position at Warsaw Schools?
Reports to : Director of Transportation
General Summary : To assist in providing safe / efficient transportation so special education or disabled students can enjoy the district's curriculum and extra-curricular program.
Essential Functions :
- Assists the bus driver in maintaining good student conduct on the bus.
- Ensures the students are seated, using safety equipment as needed.
- Provides special health care needs when necessary.
- Pre-trips and post-trips safety restraint systems on bus, along with bus driver.
- Ensures that students are loaded and unloaded in a safe and orderly fashion, assisting the student to and from the residence / school when necessary.
- Performs other reasonably-related duties as may be assigned by the Director of Transportation.
